If you publish your own book, do you have to buy 10 ISBN numbers?

Or can you just buy 1?|||isbn.org says you gotta buy 10|||No - now you see the problem with Lulu and other self publishers. According to ISBN's site you cannot buy ANY #s

Who is eligible for an ISBN?

The ISBN Agency assigns ISBNs at the direct request of publishers, e-book publishers, audio cassette and video producers, software producers and museums and associations with publishing programs.

Only if you are a publisher can you buy #'s = minimum of 10 for 200 dollars. Read the application - you MUST be a publisher.

That's the problem with self publishing. Pax - C.|||I have a question for you!!!! I want to publish a book and don't know how to do it! I guess I should probably jus tsubmit a question but since you are finished with it, I feel like youwould know best!

K|||Part of the ISBN number is used an identifier for the publisher. If your book is being published the publisher should handle it.
