Why theres written ISBN in the back of a book, and how can i interprete the code bars?

What do they mean?|||The ISBN is the International Standard Book Number. No two book titles have the same number. The first part of the number actually tells you what publisher it is if you have a list of codes. For instance, my three titles from Hard Shell Word Factory have the numbers 0-7599-3501-7, 0-7599-3491-6, and 0-7599-0400-6.





The bar code tells the computer the name of the book, the inventory code, and the price it should charge. If there's a discount on that particular book, it is able to keep it straight by the bar code.





Bar codes in stores are used the same way. They give the cash register the name of the item, the inventory code, and the price.|||International Standard Book Number, but I have no idea how, or even if you can interpret the bar code.|||The ISBN is a cide that helps to identify A N Y book. All you have to do is look online at maybe barnesandnobles.com and type in the ISBN number and it'll be able to tell you what book it is!
