Do ISBN numbers also indicate the specific edition number?

So ISBN (International Standard Book Number) includes the language or country of origin, the publisher, and the book number. Do different editions of the same title have the same ISBN number, or do they vary?|||they can have more than one, depends on the book, i guess... but i do know one book can have more than 5 ISBN codes.|||A different edition is a different book, so different editions get different ISBNs. Reprintings have the same ISBN.
