Ive written a book n wish to publish it in USA. How do i obtain the ISBN Number?

How do I register my copyright at the Library of Congress? Do i need permission to publish?|||You don't. ISBN numbers are sold to publishers in lots of ten. The first three numbers are unique to that publisher and help identify who published the book. As for registering a copyright, if you are planning on sending your book to a publisher, don't do it. There is nothing that says "amateur" more than an author copyrighting a book. It really annoys publishers and agents. It says "I am sending you my book to read but I don't trust you." Believe me - they have no intention of stealing your work. They receive thousands of manuscripts a day. If and when you sell your book to a publisher, as a part of your standard author's contract, you will get an ISBN and the publisher will copyright it for you.
