The book I'm trying to buy from amazon has the same ISBN # that is listed on my teacher's syllabus, but the syllabus says 2008 and the one on amazon says 2007. Are they the same?|||Your teacher could have made an error or the book is an older edition. I use to sell textbooks for a living. I would tell you to ask your teacher prior to ordering the book. Some books update often like that. You can also ask your teacher can you get the book that is a year older. A lot of the time the information is the same, just a new pic on the cover and new book order. Usually most information in most subjects do not update like that.
To check edition years go to the publishers website or do a search that way you can see for yourself if the teacher could have made a mistake. Good Luck!
