How do I get copyrights and an ISBN for a book without a middleman?

You can register the copyright for your book at the US Copyright Office. See the link below.

The ISBN Agency assigns ISBNs at the direct request of publishers, e-book publishers, audio cassette and video producers, software producers and museums and associations with publishing programs. Unless you are yourself a publisher, you will need the help of a publisher to request an ISBN.
